Work wanted

Hello, my name is David Catota. I am an Ecuadorian citizen and I am looking for work in the New Zealand pork industry.

I am an agricultural and Livestock Engineer with a mention in Livestock Production. I have a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science, Livestock Systems and Environment. In 2018, I completed a 1-year internship at Smithfield Foods Hog Division. I was in the research team, but also worked in the breeding, farrowing, nursery and finishing facilities as well.

I am currently looking for opportunities to work in the New Zealand pork industry. I am open to all possibilities. Breeding is where I perform best, however I know how to AI, head-check, watering and feeding sow treatments, and the handling of animals in general.

I do not have any problem living in a rural location, and I do not have a preference for location. I am an honest, hard-working, dynamic and proactive person who adapts quickly to change and can work under pressure.

I am available to work immediately. According to visa arrangements I can travel sponsored by ALTROPICO interchanges foundation.

Work wanted – October to November 2019

Dear New Zealand Pork Industry Board. My name is Mariël Benus and I am looking to learn more about the New Zealand pork industry.

I am currently living in Vroomshoop in the Netherlands, and recently graduated from the Aeres Hodeschool Donten where I majored in intensive livestock farming (with a focus on pig farming management and poultry farming management).

In August 2017, I completed an internship at Myora Farm in Australia. I learnt that there are still a lot of differences between pig farming in the Netherlands and in other countries – which is why I want to visit New Zealand.

I am planning to come to New Zealand in October 2019 to work on a pig farm and travel. I have already graduated and have completed internships, so I can’t do another internship – however, I can work in a piggery.
