Stockperson

Moorpork Ltd is a 1600 sow, modern, high-tech, high-health, farrow to finish, indoor piggery business with 2 sites located within 45 minutes of Christchurch.

We are seeking to employ an individual to fill a full-time position within our business.

This position is working within a high-performing and motivated team of full-time staff.

The position will be assisting with all aspects of care, hygiene and management within the farm, with specialisation depending on experience.

You will be required to assist in all areas of the farm as required, including:

• Feeding and vaccinating
• Accurate artificial insemination and animal health record keeping
• Farrowing and weaning
• Washing/cleaning
• Moving stock of all ages
• Actively maintaining and improving biosecurity andhealth & safety.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have livestock experience in a commercial setting
• Be legally able to work in New Zealand
• Have an eye for detail and meticulous record keeping
• Possess a willingness to learn and be flexible
• Have an excellent level of spoken and written English language
• Be physically fit
• Be a team player and able to follow instructions.

Preference will be given to candidates already residing in New Zealand
