Stock Person

DNA Lands Limited is a privately owned farming business, producing Fruit, Dairy and Pork. This diverse business continues to grow and will create opportunities for those with an open mind and ready to take on new challenges.

An opening has come available for an entry-level stock person on our pork production unit “Crackling Good” which is located between Takapau and Waipukarau in Central Hawkes Bay.

This role would be suitable for anyone who is looking for supportive employers who can provide full training, reliable hours, and the potential for growth.

The primary focus of this role is to look after our weaner and grower pigs, to ensure they have a comfortable environment and are healthy while in your care. The success in this role is measured by achieving weekly weight targets.  

You will also be required to support other staff from time to time, which provides a variety of work covering all aspects of the day-to-day running of the piggery.

REQUIREMENTS

Whilst no industry experience is required, we are looking for someone who has genuine empathy for animals, likes to hit targets, and has an eye for detail, some experience in agriculture would be an advantage.

We will provide a competitive hourly rate.

A typical work week is 7.30 AM to 4.30 PM Monday to Friday, with a requirement to work one weekend per month.
