PIC is one of New Zealand’s leading pig production and genetics businesses with six farm units located at various sites in New Zealand.
We currently have a part-time position available for a pig stockperson for our farm near Burnham, Canterbury.
You must have a flexible approach, willingness to take on challenges, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, your own vehicle and valid NZ drivers licence. You will also require a good level of written and numeric skills to enable accuracy in the recording of farm data and breeding statistics.
Above industry hourly rate will be offered to the right person. There is also the opportunity to participate in further on the job training and development within the pork industry.
The position involves working a 1 in 3 weekend roster which includes public holidays along with some work during the week.
Company biosecurity protocols require no contact with outside domestic or feral pigs or shared living arrangements with people in contact with outside domestic or feral pigs.
