NZPork receives a levy from every commercially slaughtered pig, whether the owner is registered or not. Registering gives producers a say in how this money is spent. It allows producers to hear about and attend meetings, vote for representatives and get involved with how our industry develops.
Once registered, we keep producers up-to-date through PorkOutlook (our industry newsletter) and send useful information and resources including free Animal Status Declaration (ASD) books.
Registering helps us support our producers. If regulations change or there is a biosecurity issue, NZPork needs to be able to contact all pig owners quickly to let them know what’s going on, where to find information and how to get help.
If you have any questions regarding registration please get in touch.
