100% New Zealand Pork does not use Hormonal Growth Promotants (HGPs)
While one hormonal growth promotant (porcine somatotropin) is registered for use in New Zealand, NZPork and all New Zealand pork producers do not support its use. This product has not been marketed in New Zealand.
NZPork has set up a system so that New Zealand pork producers declare, on the Animal Status Declaration, that they do not use this product.
